Despite criticism from other countries of the European Union (EU), Germany plans to further expand exports, benefiting from growth in emerging markets like Brazil, Russia, India and China.

The German economy minister, Rainer Brüderle announced an initiative for export on Tuesday (23/03) in Berlin. He said the government wants to support especially small and medium enterprises in search of new markets.

One of the measures announced is to expand the network of international chambers of commerce and industry. Angola, Kenya, Ghana, Libya and Azerbaijan should receive representation offices of German.
